According to Rod Ross and Michelle Mullen, a bowler’s arsenal often is missing a key component – a plastic ball to pick up spares. Plastic balls create less friction with the lane and makes them more predictable. Bowlers should start out using these on the corner pins, and as their spare system advances, they can use them on the other spare conversions as well.
